Oh boy! Have you and your spouse ever had major disagreements about money? You’re definitely not alone. In this episode of GFC TV, I’m diving into a question from a reader that a lot of couples might relate to.

Here’s the reader’s question: "My biggest problem, besides budgeting, is having a spouse who flat out refuses to help. He gives me his paycheck from his first job through direct deposit, which is about $300 a week. He uses the cash from his second job for whatever he wants. He also refuses to cut back on things like cable. We attended Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University a few years ago and all we managed to do was create a budget and a shared bills account. But he has no interest in future financial goals.

I took care of my student loans on my own and worked part-time to help with the budget and bills. For the past year, I’ve been in charge of our savings, planning, and bill paying. We have three kids at home, so I can’t work full time. I don’t want advice on needing more time to work together or thoughts on his behavior; I want to know how to make financial changes without my spouse’s support." – Dawn

Watch and see how I propose Dawn can move forward and how we have managed to align our money and marriage goals.
